Privacy, without
the fog.

RankLatch is designed to collect the minimum data needed to run a monitoring account, deliver evidence, and process payment.

01

Data we collect

Account data includes your email address, subscription status, plan, and identifiers returned by our billing provider. Monitoring data includes the public URLs you submit, extracted public page signals, scan history, change evidence, delivery status, and operational error logs. Product activation logs record milestones such as completing sign-in, adding a site, approving a baseline, confirming a test alert, starting checkout, or completing a paid checkout using a pseudonymous account identifier. Anonymous acquisition logs record selected public landing-page views, account or trial-link clicks, scan attempts, first use of the roster pricing-fit calculator in a page session, resource downloads, resource-share and scan-result share actions, and successful magic-link requests. Calculator inputs and recommendations are not retained in that event. Those pre-account events use a one-way visitor identifier that rotates daily. A short allowlisted source label such as homepage, free scanner, demo, a RankLatch-issued shared-result label, or a RankLatch-issued shared-resource label may accompany these events; RankLatch does not store downloaded file contents, shared or copied text, arbitrary URL parameters, a raw referring URL, or browsing history in the application logs. The event logs exclude names, email addresses, submitted URLs, raw IP addresses, and raw account IDs. These bounded funnel records are visible only in an owner administration report, not to customers. Public scan tools separately receive the website or sitemap URL you choose to check, fetch the bounded public response data needed to return the result, and use short-lived request metadata for abuse prevention. Submitted URLs and extracted results are not written to anonymous acquisition event logs.

The free SEO scanner can retain up to ten bounded snapshots of extracted public page fields in local browser storage so a later manual scan can show exact changes. Page HTML is not stored there. A snapshot is sent back to RankLatch only when you intentionally scan the same page again, and clearing RankLatch site data in your browser removes the local snapshots.

The Open Graph checker may load a declared preview image directly from its public host in your browser. That host can receive ordinary request data such as your IP address and user agent; RankLatch sends no referring-page header with that image request.

RankLatch does not need WordPress credentials, customer databases, analytics accounts, or private site content.

02

How data is used

We use this data to authenticate you, run requested scans, compare snapshots, send alerts, understand whether onboarding works, enforce plan limits, prevent misuse, respond to support requests, keep the service secure, and meet accounting or legal obligations. We do not sell personal data or use monitored page content to train general-purpose AI models.

03

Service providers

RankLatch uses Supabase for authentication and database hosting, Stripe for billing, Brevo for transactional email, and Cloudflare for application hosting and execution. These providers process data under their own security and privacy terms. We may replace a provider with an equivalent service while preserving the purposes described here.

04

Retention and deletion

Snapshot and monitoring-event history is retained according to the applicable Free, trial, or paid plan. Privacy-safe acquisition and activation funnel records are retained for up to 90 days. Account and billing records are retained while the account is active and for the period required for fraud prevention, tax, dispute, and legal obligations. Deleting a monitored site removes its stored page snapshots and monitoring-event history. To request account deletion, email privacy@ranklatch.com.

05

Your choices

You may access account data through the dashboard, remove a monitored site, cancel online, or request a portable copy or deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to correct, restrict, object to, or receive information about our processing.

Privacy questions can be sent to privacy@ranklatch.com.
