Homepage changed to noindex

Search engines were told to remove this page.

BEFOREindex, follow
AFTERnoindex, follow

Restore: remove the noindex directive, then request reindexing in Search Console.

Dailybaseline checks
8signal families
0site changes made

Built for independent agencies managing sites they do not fully control.

Check the current state

Check the page as it is now.

Run the same essential risk checks on any public homepage. A continuous monitor adds the missing half: knowing when a good state changes.

No login. No install. One public page, checked live.

The quiet failure mode

The work was right.
Then the site drifted.

A redesign, a plugin setting, a client edit, a staging flag that slipped through. Rankings rarely warn you which line changed—they only show the damage later.

DAY 0

SEO approved

Titles, canonicals, copy, and indexability are exactly where the agency left them.

DAY 12

One setting changes

A routine edit quietly adds noindex. Nobody thinks to recrawl the approved page.

DAY 31

Traffic explains it

The team investigates after visibility falls—and after the client has already noticed.

What stays latched

Only the signals
worth interrupting you.

RankLatch compares each fresh snapshot with the previous check while retaining the approved baseline. It reports the field that moved—not a vague “page changed” notification.

01

Indexability

Noindex tags and site-wide robots blocks.

02

Search snippet

Titles and descriptions removed or rewritten.

03

Canonical target

Preferred URLs changed, lost, or sent off-domain.

04

Page response

Healthy pages becoming redirects, errors, or dead ends.

05

Topic structure

Primary headings and meaningful copy disappearing.

06

Social preview

Open Graph and Twitter-card fields changed or removed.

07

Structured data

Schema blocks removed between checks.

08

Search identity

Homepage favicon declarations changed or removed.

Three quiet steps

Set it once.
Hear only what matters.

No tag manager work, WordPress login, or client install. RankLatch preserves the monitored signals exposed in a page's public HTML response.

01

Add a site

RankLatch discovers its public sitemap, selects public pages within the plan limit, and captures the first technical baseline.

Approve the baseline

You see the state being protected. Existing quirks stay quiet unless they change later.

03

Get the evidence

Daily checks compare exact fields. Meaningful drift arrives with before, after, severity, and a restoration step.

Built against alert fatigue

A changed page is not always a problem.

Minor rotating copy, timestamps, analytics markup, and harmless implementation churn can make generic change monitors unbearable. RankLatch avoids full-DOM diffs, compares stable SEO fields, and grades what moved by likely search impact.

Straight answers

Before you latch.

Still deciding? Run the free live scan first. It uses the same deterministic checks as the monitoring engine.

01Is this another full SEO suite?+

No. RankLatch protects work you have already approved. It does not sell rank tracking, keyword research, content generation, or a hundred reports you will not read.

02Does a site need WordPress?+

No. RankLatch reads the public page response, so it works with WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, custom sites, and most other platforms without a plugin.

03Will every content edit trigger an emergency?+

No. Changes are classified by impact. A new noindex or external canonical is critical; a description edit or meaningful copy shift is lower priority. The alert shows the before and after values.

04Can it guarantee rankings will not drop?+

No tool can. RankLatch catches a specific, common class of preventable technical and on-page regressions before they sit unnoticed for days or weeks.

05Do you change the client website?+

Never. RankLatch is read-only. It provides evidence and a restoration instruction; your team remains in control of the site.

06Will RankLatch tell me what is already wrong?+

Monitoring protects the state you approve and every drift alert includes a restoration step. The optional Fix Brief separately audits existing baseline issues across monitored pages and groups exact remediation by priority.

07What happens during the trial?+

Add up to three sites, establish approved baselines, and receive the same daily checks as a paid plan. No card is required. If you do not upgrade after 14 days, the oldest site continues on Free with up to 10 pages and 14 days of evidence.
