What the result answers

A current-state check that can prove a later change.

The free scanner is intentionally narrow. It verifies one public page now and compares it when you return; continuous monitoring handles daily checks and alerts without waiting for your browser.

01

Can crawlers index it?

Review page-level robots directives, X-Robots-Tag behavior, and a site-wide robots block.

02

Does the page resolve cleanly?

See the requested response, final status, redirect destination, HTTPS state, and response time.

03

Is the canonical aligned?

Catch missing, duplicate, malformed, off-domain, or unexpectedly different preferred URLs.

04

Are core page signals present?

Check the title, description, H1, language, copy volume, and structured-data block count.

Manual proof → automatic protection

Compare it yourself, or let RankLatch watch.

A repeat free scan can prove what changed since your previous browser snapshot. Start monitoring when you want RankLatch to check daily, retain evidence history, and email meaningful alerts without requiring another visit.

Before you scan

Clear scope. Useful result.

RankLatch does not turn one page request into an inflated claim about an entire site.

01What does the free SEO scanner check?+

It checks one public homepage for response health, HTTPS, indexability directives, site-wide robots blocking, canonical alignment, titles, descriptions, Open Graph fields, primary headings, structured-data presence, and other deterministic page signals.

02Is this a complete technical SEO audit?+

No. It is a focused risk check for one public page. It does not crawl an entire website, inspect Search Console, measure rankings, render every JavaScript interaction, or replace a full technical audit.

03Will RankLatch change the website?+

No. The scanner is read-only. It requests the same public response available to an unauthenticated visitor and never logs in, installs software, submits forms, or edits the site.

04Do I need to enter an email?+

No. The scan runs without an account or email address. A passwordless account is needed only if you choose to preserve the result as a monitored baseline.

05What happens if the page looks healthy?+

The first scan saves a bounded snapshot of its extracted public SEO fields in your browser. Scan the same page again later and RankLatch shows exact protected-field changes. Automatic monitoring checks daily and emails alerts without requiring you to return.

06Where is the comparison snapshot stored?+

The free scanner keeps up to ten extracted public-page snapshots in local browser storage. It does not save page HTML. Clearing RankLatch site data in your browser removes the snapshots.

07Can the scanner guarantee the page will rank?+

No. Search performance depends on many systems outside this check. The scanner reports only the public technical and on-page signals it can verify at scan time.
